The School of Informatics comprises two departments:

The Department of Computing.
The Department of Information Science.

and three research centres:

The Centre for Software Reliability.
The Centre for Human Computer Interaction Design.
The Centre for Health Informatics

Courses are based in the Department of Computing, the Department of Information Science, and the Centre for Health Informatics.



Support Departments

The Undergraduate Office provides administrative support for the School's undergraduate courses. It also handles applications for places made through UCAS.

The Postgraduate Office provides administrative support for the wide range of postgraduate courses offered by the School. Applications for places on these courses are handled directly by this office.

The Professional Liaison Office deals with placing students with employers, alumni events, practitioner input to courses, and course accreditation.

The Technical Support Group is responsible for the maintenance and general well being of the School's digital population, as well as the installation (and testing) of new software.

The School Office is responsible for the running of the School including ensuring the quality of the education provided to our students, coordinating Research, and providing a wide range of administrative support across the School.
