Each year the School of Informatics places over a hundred undergraduate students with employers on either;

The School also places a number of postgraduate students on 6 month internships

All City students are comfortable using IT and can help support existing systems or create new ones. They have skills in programming (typically Visual Basic, JAVA and HTML) and in systems analysis and design. They are looking for placement work that will give them the opportunity to develop their technical, business and personal skills.

A break down of specific skills students may posess are presented below:

City IT students take one of the undergraduate courses offered by the Department of Computing. Although limited in practical experience, all students have received a thorough grounding in IT and are quickly able to make a useful contribution.

Students offer both intelligence and enthusiasm while employers offer experience and team integration, forming a mutually beneficial partnership.
