Professional Pathway Placements
The Professional Pathway scheme allows students at City University to switch to part-time study after successfully completing the first year of their full-time course or later. Students on the Pathway attend the University one-day-a-week, for forty-five weeks in the year, and work four days a week with an employer, in an IT-related job. The scheme aims to bridge the gap between IT students' theoretical and on-the-job experience by placing them in work while they are still studying.
Participation in the scheme will give employers a better understanding of the competencies of graduates, access to a new pool of well-qualified potential employees and the opportunity to work with the university in developing staff.
