The MSc in Human-Centred Systems was simply amazing. From the very first lecture of the very first module, everything I learnt was spot on. Taught modules were hands on and offered practically everything you want when job hunting. Every time I mentioned that I studied at City University, people always told me how great the Centre for HCI Design is and how lucky I was to have studied with the lecturers there. |

The course was excellent. It provided me with the skills, knowledge and knowhow I needed to jump-start my career as a usability analyst, not to mention the confidence it gave me in being able to hit the ground running when arriving in the workplace. Whilst completing my internship at iQContent, I was able to employ the wealth of skills that I had amassed during the MSc. |
Adam Bailin, Digital Policy Manager (2006)
I really enjoyed the HCS masters at City, it had just the right balance
of theoretical and hands-on material. It has given me the knowledge and confidence
to lead the development of accessibility and usability guidelines which apply
to all UK government websites.
Richard West (2007)
The MSc in Human-Centred Systems
provided me with valuable skills and experience, especially how to apply user
centred design principles on commercial IT projects. I would definitely
recommend the course to anyone wishing to gain a deeper insight and
appreciation of how computer based systems should be designed to promote ease
of use, and meet the needs of end users.

I very much enjoyed the MSc in Human-Centred Systems at City University London. The combination of theory and practise made it an exciting, broad experience, giving an overview of all stages in the human-centred design process. Working with students from different backgrounds allowed for learning beyond the syllabus. The content was connected to the latest research, and students were not only presented with the latest knowledge in this area, but also got a glimpse of what might come tomorrow. The course provided an excellent preparation and inspiration for my PhD studies. |
