City University ranks top five for graduate employability in latest league table The City University, London is again ranked as one of the top universities in the country for getting its graduates into work. The Good University Guide, published on 30 July, measures various aspects of university activity. In the guide, City is ranked fifth out of 113 institutions for the employability of its graduates.

State-of-the-art new premises for the Department of Computing Department of Computing undergraduate students who began their degrees in October 2006 are already benefitting from the £12m state-of-the-art refurbishment of City University's historic College Building, including specialist teaching rooms, a SAP Product lab and a high-tech Human Computer Interaction Design lab supported by The Vodafone UK Foundation.

Our degrees provide you with expertise in the key computing technologies, analysis and design methods, and programming languages currently employed in the IT industry. You will also be exposed to the state-of-the art research that is poised to transform the IT industry over the next decade. Our degrees have been designed by members of staff with extensive academic and professional experience.

At the same time, you will gain understanding of the enduring principles, concepts, teamwork and communication skills which will enable you to adapt effectively in a rapidly changing industry.

Our expertise allows you to offer a broad range of degrees that support our students in exploring their interests, from applied courses, such as Business Cimputing Systems to science courses, such as Computer Science and Software Engineering, to a number of specialist degrees, for example Computer Science with Games Technology. We offer a wide range of electives covering topics as diverse as e-commerce, business object technology, IT security and software agents.
